2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Hand-pulled half-pint towards the end of an Oxford pub crawl on 23rd Nov 13: my notes tell me I had this in the Royal Blenheim and it was a bog standard UK session ale.
Golden hue to the amber body, thin white head.
Slight citrus hint in the nose and taste but otherwise it could have been any of 20 or so such beers, instantly forgettable but thirst quenching enough (not that I had any thirst by the time I was drinking this).

On tap at a cozy little pub. Served with the utmost care from the cask by the bartender. Very good experience with this bitter.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
My Bottom Line:
Honeyed malts and peppery hops meld in this silky Bitter.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam crowns the amber-tinged golden.
-The hop character has green edges.
-Orange-y tea leaves are also shared in the aroma.
-The mouthfeel is smooth and rich, creating an elegant quencher of a body.
-The flavour profile is balanced.
On cask at The Royal Blenheim, Oxford.

Great swift half on a hot afternoon. Could very easily be a session beer. Lively, producing a smooth head, clean flavour, slightly floral and grassy.

On Tap @ the Haymarket Bar. Pours golden with a proportionate head. The nose has grapefruit and hay. The taste is more of the same. The palate is light to medium in structure and texture with a clean finish. Overall, a good easy quaffer!
