Cask Conditioned at The White Horse, Oxford. Golden beer with White fluffy head. Wow, thought I had missed out, this beer went in a session at Oxford beer Festival and was also voted Beer of the Festival, but there was a rumour that The White Horse pub had craftily placed it on. I was instantly impressed with a very hoppy fragrant light bitter. Long sweetish tangy flavours, hints of marmalade and lemon zest. This was the perfect finish to a long day, an exceptionally well brewed craft bitter, lovely.

(Cask at Market Porter, Southwark, London, 27 April 2008) Clear amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with notes of orange, apricots and floral hops. Malty, fruity taste with apricots, dog-rose cream and floral hops. Fairly dry, slightly below medium body. Tasty session bitter.

A Mes rate: Cask at the St. Aldates Tavern, Oxford during the RB pub crawl.
Nice and clean golden brown colour with a thin bubbly white head. Decent hops front aroma with delicate hints of ginger. Flavour has a really good malt and hop balance that goes all the way to the finish eventually settling on bitter hops. Lots of character, plenty of flavour. Good stuff.

Cask conditioned - handpump - St Aldates Tavern Oxford. A golden beer with a small amount of white head but some good lacing showing what good condition it was in. The aroma was nicely hoppy with some grapefruit notes. More good fresh hops to the flavour and then a little nuttiness crept in. A nice start to a good day’s drinking.

Cask in statebar. Aroma is balanced biscuity malts with orange and grassy notes. Taste is similar, light body, perfect for sessioning, though perhaps a bit more hop as i can taste exactly what the beers is made with, if that makes sence.

[643-20070921] Cask @ Turf Tavern (Oxford, OX). Faint citrus aroma has light acidic fruit and lemon peel notes. Clear, light orange brown body with a small long-lasting foamy white head. Lightly acidic citrus peel flavour. Light-medium body. Fairly mild.
