COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Occasional.
A pale ale made with lager malts, that compliments the grapefruit citrus flavors from the Cascade hops used throughout the brew, a beer that will give power to the Scourer as he cleans and restores the Ancient White Horse.

Good deep flavour - don’t be fooled by the pale ’summer ale’ colour, as rich as many a darker, richer malt, yet hits the spot as a refreshing jar on a summers afternoon! (JDW, Tonbridge)

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 26 July 2010. Gold body with slight haze, and a thin lacing off-white head. Grass hop kick and citric back-taste of lemon, then grapefruit. A fine finish results from grapefruit and herbiness of the hop, and the mouthfeel texture is zingy. A very pleasant enjoyable pint.

@ Royal Oak, Twerton. Golden colour with a slight haze. Fresh, leafy hop nose. Pithy, slightly sticky hop character. Long, dry and very appetizing.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Pale straw, greenish tinge with white head. There is a lovely dry bitterness right from the off with this beer, really hoppy with a grapefruity character. Thin on the palate but lasting flavours in the mouth. Very decent and enjoyable.

Cask @ Royal Oak Twerton. Medium gold, frothy head and lacing. Fairly bright hoppy aroma is pleasant, although some pedio does emerge by pint’s end. Smooth and soft. Really great bitterness here. An excellent hoppy mild I could drink a lot of.

DruncanVeasey (7134) - NUNEATON, Top 13, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - SEP 12, 2010
Cask, 3rd Hinckley BF. Hopped up and pale to the point I had to go back and get another half, just to make sure it hadn’t been crossed with the Oakham (Citra). Straw with a white rim and lace specks. Grapefruit and pollen aroma- 8. Huge grapefruit punch, background earthy malt, peanut husk, Rich Tea hints. Wow. Lean, punchy, basic. Some really resinous, green, well-wrung citrus here. Pale/dark horse of the festival, no pun intended.

Cask, handpump at The Bell Beer Festival, Adderbury, Nr Banbury, Oxon, 04.09.10 I am not 100% certain of the colour as I had this poured straight into my tankard, though I think it is looking a bit golden, there is a white head atop. Crisp citrus showing from the off. There are big grapefruit flavours, its a crisp, refreshing beer, with a constant bitterness running through and loads of grapefruit, tasty stuff and one of, if not my favourite beer of the day. Cask by hand-pump at Counting House, Glasgow - clear golden amber, good bubbly off-white head, malty aroma, excellent film of lacing, wheaty, malty flavour, bit of fruit, bittersweet hop finish

Cask at The Playhouse, Colchester. Poured a clear medium amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is weak malt hop slightly fruity leading to a medium bitter flavour with a watery malt liquorice hop bitter palate and a super long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. It really was a super liqourice hop bitter ale but very drinkable and fine for a session. Actually i finished drinking this 5 minutes ago and the bitterness in the finish is still there!
