Cask, The Swan in the Rushes, Loughborough. Pale gold and hazy with an off-white head. Aromas are soft wheat malts with cream. Has a citrus bite. Flavours are dry and bitter with sweet wheat malts and lemon.

Bright bottled at Thanet Easter Beer Fest. The Winter Gardens, Margate. Light, fruit and hoppy beer with a light and pleasant sweetness. Pale yellow in appearance. Good hop presence, citric and dusty with a lingering earthy dust. Biscuit. A refreshing and flavoursome ale.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2009 Cask, gravity at the Kings Arms Beer Festival, Kidlington, Oxon 28-03-08 Nice tasty bitter, cannot understand why I’ve never got around to rating this when it pops up so frequently around these parts.Pours warm golden, looks in very good nick (pretty much all of the beers at this pub festival looked very decent actually) Good balance between bitter and sweet with nice layers of citrus, hops are continually racing around, not the best that White Horse have but a good effort all the same. A6 A4 F7 P3 OV15 3.5 Had this again at the Royal Bleinhem, Oxford 29-03-09 Pours lemony gold with some nice curly bitterness that seems to wrap itself around the tongue. Occasional flashes of lageryness, not sure what malts or hops are used but I wonder if this is what I’m actually getting. There are also some dabs of vanilla, citrus and all in all its a very decent bitter. Pleased to see my rating is very similar marks wise to the previous rating A6 A4 F7 P3 OV14 3.4

Sickly buttery caramel aroma at odds with the grapefruit/citrus bitterness within. Straw and fluff. Tastes watered-down on top of a Harviestoun Ice Maiden. Distinctly unpleasant smelling golden ale lacking zest and hop crunch.

Cask at Wetherspoons, Hammersmith. Full malty body combined with a decent sharp hoppiness. Not an explosion for the senses as the blurb claims, but a fine session bitter.

Cask at ’Spoons, Milton Keynes. Pale gold with a small white head. Hoppy aroma. Some citric fruit in the taste and a little biscuit. However the hoppiness dominates. Quite good.
