Nice dark colour with a strong but pleasant aroma. The taste is very malty with a strong caramel back taste, there is also a hint of toffee. Having said that it is very pleasant and the palate and after taste is very nice.

Bottle from Bellingers Garage, Grove, Near Wantage, Oxon purchased and consumed at home 28.08.12 Pours chestnut, good clarity with off-white head. A little nutty, some bitterness, earthy with just a little citrus maybe. Soft in the mouth a little plappy as Loz would call it, I think that I think lacks a little freshness. Fine. Cask at Assembly House, London. Pours clear brown with a light, tan cream head. Nose holds dirt and cocoa, some burnt leaves. Light sweet flavor, some bitter, charred malts, leafy bitterness, baking cocoa. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Earthy bitterness to finish with further notes of dirty cocoa. Not bad.
