Light sweet flavor, some bitter, charred malts, leafy bitterness, baking cocoa. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Earthy bitterness to finish with further notes of dirty cocoa. Not bad.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol, November 2012. Medium brown with an off-white head. Malty beer with some chocolate, toffee and dark fruits, leading to a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask conditioned gravity dispense Olde England Northampton 06/12/12. A chestnut coloured beer with a grey bubbly head. A proper malty Wintery ale. Crunchy malts in the aroma. Dry and slightly roasty in the mouth. Some fruits too. Pretty good.

Cask @ The Metropolitan, JDW, Marylebone NW1. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty nutty caramel flavor with hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty bitter nutty caramel finish.

Malty ale with a sweet finish. Toffee is the most evident flavour, but not overstated.

Cask from the JDWs real ale festival menu at Willow Walk. Bubbly, beige head over a ruby-amber body. Dried fruits and mid-sweet malts to the nose. Blended flavour of caramel malts and dark fruits. Dry, malt bitter aftertaste. Pleasing (London, 02.11.2012).

From cask at Standing Order. Pours clear and golden deep amber to hazzlenut brown with a small off white and creamy head. Aroma is mild fruity and breadish. Bitter, toasted malty and breadish to caramelish. Dry roasted and breadish finish.

Cask, The Highcross, Leicester. Copper, red with a cream foam. Aromas are chocolate, raisins and cola with burnt toffee. Plummy with medicinal notes and spices. Flavours are sweet raisins and toasted malts with dark toffee. Herbal with a mixed spice finish. A nice malty brew.
