bobinlondon (215), Harrow, Greater London, England Jul 12, 2008 Handpulled cask at JDW Watford during recent international beer fest. Rich amber / copper colour with a thin bubbly white head. Nice sweet malt aroma with a bit of caramel and some delicate hops. Nice rich malt flavour with a good balancing bitter finish. Straight forward but tasty.

Round, well balanced. was impressed. downender (1510), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Mar 30, 2008 Updated: Apr 5, 2008Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 30/3/08. Deep amber in colour with a moderate, off-white head. Aroma of chocolate malt, earthy hops and red fruit. Flavour had plenty of dusty chocolate powder, a touch of digestives and some pleasant hops in a bitter finish. I will probably regret drinking three pints on top of various other beers in the JDW festival, but it certainly hit the spot at the time. Very good. Rune (1508), Tromsų, Norway Mar 28, 2008 Two half, cask conditioned at The St Aldates Tavern and very well kept at White Horse, both in Oxford. Deep mahogany body with a reddish tint to it. Moderate lacing head. Aromatic hops with malt. Flavour starts with a hoppy touch followed by caramel and a note of biscuit and then back to a dry, bitter fruity ending. Well bodied and more than just another English bitter (15.03 and 17.03.2008).
