A slightly cloudy golden straw color with a white head. Nose is lightly spicy with a mild funk/earthiness to it. Some straw, a hint of spicy phenols, and some sweet fruit esters of apple and pear. A bit of cracker malt and a light sweetness. Flavor is not terribly saison-like, given the yeast, but definitely some of the characteristics. A bit of pepper, grass, and earth, maybe a bit of yeast, too. Mild malt sweetness with a bit of fruit esters. Not bad, actually.
