Bottle (33 cl) from Etre Gourmet. Clear dark mahogny, medium beige head. Sugary, raisiny aroma with dried fruits and almond, and a touch of alcohol. Full bodied, medium carbonation. Semi sweet with medium bitterness.

33cl bottle @home. Pours cloudy dark brown with small beige head almost immediately gone. Sugar and alcohol aroma. Taste alcohol, little sweet, sugar. Aftertaste alcohol and sugar. Not bad, but maybe lower the alcohol. I’ve tried Strongest Than Ever too and the alcohol percentage is higher, but not that dominant as this one.

Pours brown with light beige head. Aroma is roasted, raisins, mild alcohol and fruity. Flavour is roasted, raisins, alcohol, fruity, medium sweet, medium bitter and fruity. Maybe tone the alcohol level down a bit? Nonetheless, this is a good winter warmer.

33cl @ brewpub ’t Gaverhopke. Dark brown with beige foam. Aroma is very sweet and complex. Body is medium but extremely soft, no carbonation. Taste shows a big sweetness when the beer becomes at an higher temperature, out from the fridge hops/roasted seemed more noticeable. Taste is dark malts, candy sugar, dark fruits, sweet chocolate, nutella, banana and pear, caramel, vanilla and licorice. Sweet and complex, not simple to drink cause syrupy.

Thanks to kraddel @ RBBWG 2014! Pours muddy brown, lots of yeast floating with not much of a head. The smell is fermented fruit, apples maybe some caramel. The taste is huge green apple, fermented fruit, caramel. Light/medium body with light carbonation.

@RBBWG14. Thanks Kraddel! Dark brown, some white foam. Medium body. Good balance but maybe a bit too sweet. Aroma of caramel, dark fruit and some bourbon.

33cl bouteille @ RBBWG III, thanks Kraddel. Please White Pony, stop the race for strongest beer, it’s not playing in your favour.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBWG 2014. Courtesy of & thx! to Kraddel. Sort of digging the label. Dark red brown beer with little in the way of head. Simple & sugary nose, vanilla, cereal, toffee & mainly sugar. Taste is pretty simple, caramel, lots of brown sugar & some bitter herbs. Little carb. touch oily. It is okay but lacks in much to get exited over. With this much malt, ingredients etc. this ABV, I suppose unless if you do something truly horrible, you are going to get something okay at least which is what this is for me.

Small yellow-cream head, irregular, fast gone over fully opaque dark-brown beer. End of bottle solid yeast, even some Ufo’s. Sweet, molasses, chocolate, ethanol, yeast esters, and a faraway sourish hint. Sweet, liquorice onslaught, mildly roasted, and of course a shot nearly raw alcohol. Finish, however, is more balanced; the flavours, with some chocolate thrown into, coming together, the esters blending in and fading. Fiery alcoholheat, very well-bodied, viscously slick, better carbonated than the visual. Again one on ethanol-steroids, but the overall impression is not quite bad. Good winter warmer, nog exagerating on the spicy side.
