Flaska @ Bishops Arms GA, Malmö. Klar bärnstensfärgad öl med ett litet smutsvitt skum. Dofter av malt, torkad frukt, läder och alkohol. Detsamma återkommer i smaken. Känns ganska tunn för att vara ett Barley Wine av denna styrka.

Pours cloudy mahogany with a finger of yellowish white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, light butterscotch and eucalyptus. Taste is buttery and creamy sweet with light bitterness in the finish. Body is rich and creamy with soft carbonation.

330ml brown bottle poured into a Tulip glass. Appearance is cloudy dark copper colored with a medium sized khaki colored head. Aroma of apricots, pears and orange peels. Flavours of apricot and orange marmalade, caramel, raisins and a hint of chocolate. Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter. Palate is full bodied, smooth texture and average carbonation. The Oracle is tasty, pleasant flavour that is quite malty.

Scent of lighter dark fruits. The flavor is caramel and candy. Sweet and fruity beer. OK bitterness which fills the upper part of the mouth a weak moment. Bitterness coming towards the end. Nothing I like. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Grassy earthy, malty, slightly yeasty, warming. Deep copper colour, small beige head. Cloying sweetness, lightly bitter, warming, bit one-dimensional. Medium body, average carbonation, sweet finish. Ok.

ASPETTO: marrone brandy scuro, limpido. Assolutamente consigliata!

330ml bottle (Tolly, Tartu)
Nice sweet malty aroma, touch of nuts. Deep red, fizzy head. Nice malty taste too, gently sweet, again a bit of woody nuttiness. Palate is worryingly carbonated, remarkably light to be honest. Very pleasant, but odd in its fizziness. Good malts. Did get a bit alcoholic towards the end.Decent.

330ml bottle. Slightly hazy copper color. Small size, white head, stays as a ring. Bready, cake, sweet, faint chocolate, alcohol in aroma. Sweet, malty, grainy, raisins, bit prunes in taste. Sweet caramel in aftertaste. Soft carbonation. Dull.

Black chocolate and dark fruits in the aroma. Medium sweet, subtil roasty bitterness and delicate lactic acidity. Also delicate clove and earth in the aftertaste. So far so good but it lacks character and on the other side it’s spoiled by acetaldehyde. It overpowers the beer and with clove on the end it doesn’t bring out the good stuff. Shame.
