COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Belgian barleywine style ale. Our The Oracle was thought as point of meeting between english barleywines and belgian quadrupel, it’s fermented with Trappist yeast.

Awesome heavy, dense aroma with malty, winy, typical belgian quadrupel notes with tiny touch of alcohol. Almost clear, dark amber color beer, with tiny beige head to it. In taste I would say it’s a very much typical abbey belgian strong ale. Malty with this typical wooden, barrel notes and barely noticeable bitterness in the end. Alcohol is perfectly covered but it really warms you up from the inside. It’s a bit over carbonated, but has a great body. It’s so soft and silky. It really is a good beer.

The Oracle, barley wine. Looks..red-ish brown with a golden hue, sml head on pour. Smells..caramel malts, toffee, candy, some boozy fruit. Tastes..boozy stonefruit and fortified wine, sweet candy and sugar, a little coffee liqueur and sweet nuttiness.

Bottle. Pours in hazy dark amber body with low almost none white head. Aroma has high malty caramel sweetness. Light licorice. Pretty complex, well hidden alcohol. Taste has high sweetness upfront, really high, like sugary power rush, caramel, burned sugar. Body is heavy, full, medium carbonation.

33 cl systembolaget. Jag bara älskar barley wine och särskilt denna som är härligt knäckig och söt.

Draft at Zwevegems Bierfestival. Sirup, too sweet, no complexity, bland bad.

Aroma is rich from dark fruits, figs, syrup and candy sugar. There is some monastery cellar stuff going on as well in this one, damp and moist with some wooden notes. Taste is sweet and dark. Prunes and figs run around for a while with some mellow hops chase them and try to catch ’em. Spicy bitterness and some alcohol warmth.
