33cl @ brewpub ’t Gaverhopke. Amber beer with a strong complex aroma of vanilla-bourbon, spices and fruits. Syrupy mouthfeel. Balanced very well between the bourbon taste and the beer taste that is however preserved, a lot of fruity notes, spices, vanilla and almond. Just perfect!

Poured a hazy orange/amber with a small off white head. Aroma of yeasty malt and alcohol soaked dark fruit. Full body, quite boozy, flavour of vanilla smoothness, caramel malt with the alcohol kick in the aftertaste.

Bottle at the Essen OBER Kerstbierfestival 2013. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is rich yeast alcoholic malt. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a rich boozy alcohol slightly medicinal oaky palate. The alcohol is very evident but it’s well controlled and does not dominate. I need a bottle of this!

Bottle @ kerstbierfestival Essen. Orange yellow cloudy pour with small white head. Bourbon oak wood smell with some dried fruits. Bitter sweet taste, bourbon whiskey with a pretty heavy alcoholic warmth. Heavy and full mouthfeel with tingles. Starting to love barrel aged beers more and more. This is no exception. Fantastic!

Bottle sample at Essen Kerstbierfestival. Pours cloudy golden brown with a small tan head. Aroma of dough, yeast, oak and light floral aspects. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Big caramel on the palate and alcohol warmth in the finish. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

33 cl. bottle sampled @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2013. Golden white head. Nose is sweet vanilla, sticky, creamy bourbon mixed with zest, lemon, citrus, pretty interesting lovely. Taste is zesty, sweet vanilla, pretty sweet, sticky malts, plenty of creamy bourbon. Substantial body, little carb. Very surprised by this one & currently no issues, lovely, sweet bourbon-rich BE style brew.

Sampled @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2013. Opaque murky yellowish color, small white head. Aroma and taste both have a lot of bourbon, slightly sweet, some alcohol. Quite well mixed together. Quite like this one. Nice!

I’m leaving this rating because no one else did: S: Very intense smell. Vanilla and bourdon barrels (oak, vanilla, sweetness) hit you immediately, no finess here but still nice. Alcohol. almonds (due to oak/barrel?) Solvent (very deep in the nose) A&T: bitterness overwhelms sweetness, some banana, alcohol, same medical flavour (don’t know if i like it), thime (lots of it) P: alcohol, very fine carbonattion, long duration, some bitterness left, some herbal flavours linger (pine?/thime) A: creamy head, orange/pink/peachy body color (not my normal lighting) (thime, vanilla, barrels, solvent)
