UPDATED: MAY 26, 2014 33cl @ brewpub ’t Gaverhopke. Pale blond-orange with a big soft foam. Aroma shows a sort of complexity with flowers, spices, herbal hops, earthy, saaz. Body is medium and extremely soft. Taste is: flowers, herbal hops, malts, unmalted cereals (wheat and oat?), complex spicy hints. Balanced well. Sure not a classic saison, but a very good brew.

bionda opaca con schiuma compatta. Leggera ma morbida con note dolci di fiori e buona speziatura, va giù alla grande. La mia preferita del White Pony!

33cl bottle Shared with friends Pale yellow white persistent foam. Aroma of hops, flowers, grassy herbs, esters. Medium body. Again flowers, grains, candy sugar, esters, fruits, grassy herbs, spices, ginger. Maybe not a real saison, but these guys are experimenting a lot, the softness makes it dangerous drinkable. Nice belgian ale!

Draft. This beer has something beautiful from the aroma and the appearance, soft and smooth, it looses a bit in the taste but the esters and the spicy hint are nice, ending a bit dry with hops.

Bottled from Biergenot, BB July 2017, large sample. Served in a trappist glass. Almost clear orange color, short to medium lasting white head. Aroma is spicy, peppery, bit flowery and earthy hop, slight grainy malt, bit hay, slight hint of bubblegum. Bit sweet, slight bitter. Bit caramelly, hay again. Full bodied but with a bit dry finish. Medium carbonation. Im a bit in between whether its a boring brew or a very nice brew, which is kind of strange. I give it the benefit of the doubt and decide I like it.

Very interesting beer. Not like any other Saison I’ve had before. A lot more earthy. A very interesting tasty beer unlike anything else, but I’m sure it won’t be for every one.

Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Medium sized white foamy head on top of a hazy orange colored beer. Aromas of grains, yeast, toast, a light light coffee tint, some wheat, some apricot and corn. Flavours of vanilla, herbs, corn, some yeast, ash, bitters, grass, some apricot, light citrus, light hay and some sweet grains. Aftertaste is a mix of wheat, bitters, spice, herbs and light fruit. Medium carbo, light watery light creamy mouthfeel, good medium bodied and a creamy texture.
