Tap @ Little Creatures Dining Hall, Melbourne. Pours cloudy golden with a decent creamy heead leaving nice lacing. Aroma is wheaty, yeasty, fruity and a bit yeasty. Flavor is yeasty, fruity, wheaty, fruity, bitter and sweet. Finishes shortlived bitter yeasty.

Tried on tap last week at Little Creatures Freo. Straw coloured body with slight haze and lasting small white head. Some citrus notes and coriander on the aroma. Taste the honey and the wheat then the coriander, a little zesty, medium light body. Drank a few of these and they went down easy enough.

330ml bottle. Pours a very pasty pale straw colour accompanied by a deep thick bright white foam cap. Sweet aromas of bananas followed by cloves. Clean and crisp flavour that sits well in the mouth. Lively in the glass but doesn’t rate off the scale.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 2, 2012
Draughts at the brewery. Perfect Wit for a stinking hot day. A little citrus, peppery, some dryness.

Call the aroma/flavour police as this one is in violation. Have more notes depicting the appearance than I do of flavour, mouthfeel and aroma combined, what the!? Distant aroma of woody honey with lemon juice and pepper, so subdued it was more CO2 than descriptors. It produces a cloudy, sandy yellow with fine, sluggish carbonation that eddies a maze of suspended proteins up to a very dense, compact, snow-white head that lasts and laces well. Watery, thin and sour is much of what I got. Take two cups of reverse osmosis water, add a dash of lemon, essence of wheat and characteristic phenols and voilà, White Rabbit White Ale. Disappointing stuff obviously aimed at crowd pleasing the majority and not pleasing the lesser beer appreciators or themselves, the brewers cannot be pleased with this result surely!?! 2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jonno (2013) - JAPAN - MAY 29, 2010
UPDATED: MAR 8, 2011 A decent wit, but no hoegarden. A bit spicy on the nose with a easy drinking body, with orange peel and coriander dominating. Slightly astringent.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 hawthorne00 (1890) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUL 11, 2010
Bottle. Cloudy straw with a large white head. Aroma is mild and has hay, honey and spices - white pepper more than cloves or coriander. Taste has some lemon, a little wheat sourness, floral honey and spices. Slightly sweet with a dry finish. Like their dark ale, this is a rather softly-spoken beer with some classy depth and character. But - even given that I’m not that keen on this style - it lacks a bit of presence.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 davidm (1801) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUL 1, 2010
Bottle 330ml. Not bad, but not my favourite style. Aroma is citrusy, with a hint of honey. Taste is sweet, with some sourness. Palate is thin and watery. Pale yellow, with a thin head.

Like a mulled version of hitachino’s white ale. Less complex and easier drinking. Good sessionable brew
