Pouring a deep mahogany, White Street Scottish Ale produces a tight tan head that gives way to a complex maltiness. Herbal and spicy notes play nicely in a caramel essence to produce a beautifully sessionable beer

Bot. Smell is sweet old lager. Looks like iced tea. Has littel bits of things floating around inside. Decent carbonation for a Scottish beer. Taste is sweeter odd peat. Difficult if not medicinal. Not sure what to think, perhaps its something like a peat flavored Vienna? Can’t even be in the same style as Crooked Tongue Edinburg Scottish 70 Ale, East End Session #01 - Mild Scottish Ale/80 Shilling, Weasel Boy Plaid Ferret Scottish Ale or even East End Old Hickory

Poured from bottle. Aroma of burnt caramel and cola. Appearance is mahogany with tiny head. Tasting caramel, cream soda, nut, pepper, pear, touch of spice. Palate is nice. Good drinkability. Overall, not best in class, but good stuff.

Pours up brown with a brown foamy head. Not much on aroma, just light caramel and hint of booze. Taste is thin and watery, a bit of peaty malt on the tongue, a mild hop presence and thats it. Finishes a bit dry. Not their best offering.

12 oz. looks like it was bottled 05/19/2015. Nose is earth-spiced toffee, dark bread, apple, dried grass and cola. Pours clear copper-brown with a thin smattering of lasting foam. Body is to the lighter side of medium and has a smooth medium carbonation. Nice balance to the flavors with the toffee malt taste countered by earthy leaf, acidic dry cocoa, husky grain and apple tones.

Good beer. Caramelized sugar is the most notable part of this beer. Easy drinking. Not much nose on this one and the finish is nothing special but this is a very drinkable beer that will not disappoint.

Soft copper brown pour with one finger of tan head. Malty and sweet aroma with notes of caramel, toasty malt, earthy bready notes, fruit, and a touch of alcohol. Medium body. Grain and toast malt profile with some heat and sweetness. More rustic/earthy than aroma.

Pint at Salem Street Pub. Good aroma, sweet. Chocolate and nutty yeasty scent. Dark orangy brown color, good head and lace. Sweet flavor. Medium body thin creamy mouthfeel, dry roast finish. Nice, better than I had remembered. Good malty beer.
