Fra cask på Goodmans Fields(JDW), Whitechapel 18 Mai 11. Gyldenbrun. Lavt kremaktig skum. God fruktig aroma. Maltsmak med litt frukt. Tørr fruktig ettersmak. Ordinær.

Cask at The Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Pale straw with a tight white head; aroma of cereal with a faint whiff of citrus; sweet, smooth and grainy with some weak lemon squash for flavouring; the finish is dry and floury and lightly bitter. Boring and not particularly good.

Cask at JDW, Stoke. Pours golden with a thin white head. Fruity, butter, good mix of flavours. Everything I expect a British blond should be.

The Baron. Dusted gold with a swirl of head and not much condition. Buttered pine aroma. Some slight pine and apricot fruitiness, mealy corn afters, plenty of butter. Possibly not in top nick. Not very dazzling.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Gold with no head. Fusty, musty, malty beer, grainy, quite stewed in character. Not the most pleasant beer.

Cask at The Great Spoon of Ilford (JDW), Ilford, England.
Cloudy pale golden colour with small white head.
Weak fruity and malty aroma.
Caramel candy sweetness, fruity hops and some maltiness in flavour.

Cask@ Society Room, JDW. Hazy golden colour, white head.Nose is malty, some hops. Flavour is malty, sweet lemonade, bit of rubber. Dry and sweet finish.

Cask at Lord Moon of the Mall, Whitehall. Called White’s rather than White, although as the JDW website gives the same location and founding date for the brewery as Ratebeer, I assume it’s the same beer.
Not especially golden in colour, quite a sweet mouthful, pleasant bitter finish but a slightly watery palate. OK, not great.
