Old Fangled is a dry crisp cider with clean citrus flavors ranging from juicy navel orange to clementine and meyer lemon. Ample amounts of heirloom apple acidity are balanced with a touch of sweetness and a bit of champagne-like tannic character finishing with a hint of black pepper spice.

Pours an effervescent light gold which stills quite quickly, leaving a scarce collection of bubbles clinging to the glasses’ interior. Aroma rides the line between apple flesh and baby powder, in what some describe as a ’mousey’ way. First sip puckers the palate a bit, as this is both dry and tart. Finishes clean and the upfront has interesting notes of watermelon, vanilla, and lemonade. Definitely a random, thoughtful cider.. still seems to be lacking focus and could improve with a culling of the apple varieties, I’d imagine. Recommended for its interesting intensity but probably my least favorite of the initial three flavors.
