What a cracking little beauty of an IPA this is - my hats off to Whitstable. Pale, light but very hoppy in taste. What more do you want? Finn (1473), Tromsø, Norway Oct 22, 2006 Cask/gravity at The St Albans Beer Festival 29 Sep 06. Yellowish coloured. No head. Fruity aroma. Pleasant fruity flavour. Bitter finish. Rune (2760), Tromsø, Norway Oct 20, 2006 Half pint on gravity dispense. Clear golden body. Missing head. Cautious citric aroma. Balanced fruity taste with lemon, grapefruit and oranges. Bitter undertones in the ending (The St Albans BF, 29.09.2006) JorisPPattyn (5155), Antwerpen, Belgium Sep 23, 2006 Hazy orange beer; small, very white head, with shards of lace. Beautiful grapey hopsaroma, even when it cannot vie with a Westcoast monster. Dry hoppy taste, going over in malt, with retronasal, alas, more decaying grain. Finish is plain hoppy bitterness, even mouldy cardboard. A flavour of dry hopsacks, with dried and shriveled orangepeels, is the best what remains. Dry bitterness, quite light, even empty beer. Terribly disappointing, because the nose promised oh so much more. I seemed a worthy British contender ofr the contemporary IPA. But if one could call many’s the New World IPA’s unbalanced, this one is utterly onedimensional, and weak to boot. dnas2 (627), Yelverton, Devon., Devon, England Aug 23, 2006 Cask handpump at The Wellington, Birmingham. Straw coloured with a short head. Watery but not flat. Aromas of citrus, quite flowery and perfumed. A nice bitter. Nightfall (645), Athens, Greece Jul 10, 2006 Updated: Dec 7, 2008Cyprus at All about beer. Clear golden color. medium foamy head. Citric and hoppy aromas. Fruity and malty flavors with nice bitter finish. Excellent beer ,really happty to choose this among the many english beers at this shop. Svesse (2601), Hässelby, Sweden Jun 22, 2006 (Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 20 June) Colour is golden amber, with a foamy head. Nose is fruity with a distinct flowery hoppiness and hints of grapefruit. Complex hop aroma: earthy and flowery at the same time. Taste is fruity and hoppy with grapefruit and/or lemon, apricots and a flowery sewage character (?!). Long, hoppy finish. Very tasty and still easy to drink. Lovely! DJMonarch (6071), Northwich, Cheshire, England Mar 1, 2006 Cask Handpump at the Old Harkers Arms, Chester 10/03/2002
