Cask (Old Brewery Tavern, Canterbury)
Rich dark caramelly black tea aroma. Deep red, small brief head. Lovely ric taste - dry huskiness, a touch bitter. Fairly nutty finish. Just a hint of noble bitter hops. An easy sessionable mild, very tasty.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask @ The Southampton Arms. Deep brown color with hardly any head. The nose is raisins, some brown sugar, light berries and chocolate. The taste is lightly vinous and jammy, some berries. Notes of roasted malts, nuts, more light chocolate and plenty of caramelised brown sugar. A bit thin on the tongue, the body’s soft and lacks real vitality. Overall, an decent mild. It doesn’t quite do it for me. Not bad, though.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Clearish, red-brown pour with a mild head. Faint roasty malts on the nose, hints of sugary fruit. Flavor is nice, if a bit bland, with notes of toasted, dark malts, grape, and faint wood. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Faintly sweet finish, lightly roasty with faint fruit notes. Decent but lacks oomph.

(cask @The Man of Kent, Rochester) A dry mild , with notes of chocolate sweetness and some ashy roastiness. I swear I picked out some weird Turkish Delight kinda texture in there.
