COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An "indulgence" to the senses, this ale, originating from Belgian monastic abbies during the middle ages, slants heavily sweet the use of candy sugar characteristics of the style. Moderate carbonation and mouthfeel make this ale very easy drinking for its strength. A couple pints of this may make you exclaim, "alleluia!"

Draft - Raisin, plum and dark sugars. Clear copper with a thin beige head. Lots of grain, brown sugar, raisin and some yeast. Not as fruity sweet with the grains up front

Cloves and spice! Almost tastes like a hefe. It's not my type of beer but pretty good overall ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewpub. Comes a touch cloudy amber with a very small tan head. Aroma of fruit, caramel, and malt. Taste is caramel malt, fruit, spices, and candy sugar. Just a bit too sweet, otherwise pretty good.

tap at brewpub, a solid offering mild notes of sweet caramel type flavors, no hop flavor at all good malt back..lots of clove flavor though, excessive clove flavor, like smoking some of those clove cigarettes.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a near clear amber orange with atan head that dissipates quickly and completely. Aroma has sweet grains backed by raisins, dates, light fruits and candied sugar. Flavor has a lot of date with sweet grains and candied sugar.

On draught at the brewery. No head (certainly not expected for this style) and thin mouthfeel. Pours a hazy copper. Some nice dark fruit on the flavor.

Tap - fair size foamy head, medium amber color, sweet malty aroma and flavor, with typical raisiny notes - fair beer of this style, not great
