"Real ale" fans will appreciate this light, malty and traditionally brewed English session ale. Inspired by an award winning recipe and served cask-style from the only genuine British beer engine available within 500 miles. Cask ale is traditionally served at cellar temps (45-55F), which help to accentuate the English malt character. Also available: "American Style"... For the less adventurous.

(Draught) Pours a hazy yellow body with a medium white head. Aroma of onion rings, garlic bread, cocoa, and roasted malt. Flavor of chocolate, roasted grain, and coffee.

Cask at the Brewery---pretty copper color with a small head. I couldn’t note much of an aroma, a problem I have at most brewpubs. Sweet malt and roast for a taste with a mellow finish. Old rating.

On tap at the brewery. Comes a reddish gold with a small off-white head. Mild aroma of malt, grain, and citrus. Taste is similar. Decent but perhaps too mild.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy deep gold with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of bread and grain with a bit of light fruit. Flavor starts with grain but has a tropical fruit/dishwater note that is off putting.

On draught at the brewery. Not much maltiness on the aroma. Beer is very hazy - perhaps intentionally if unfiltered. Taste of fresh wort, chocolate and roast. Not a lot of mouthfeel. No perceived bitterness.

Tap - small foamy head, medium amber color, sweet malty aroma and flavor, with definite coffee taste - not a coffee fan myself
