Growler poured a clear reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of rye, earthiness, pine and light grapefruit. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of rye, earthiness, cocoa and light pine with a crisp dry bitter lingering rye finish.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Big body from this dark amber ale. Certainly can taste the rye spice and malt base. Alcohol is not very apparent though. Good beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap - small foamy head, very dark brown/amber color, sweet rye aroma and flavor - this is definitely the dark, thick rye kind of beer (vs the some which are very light), thicker mouthfeel, definite rye/whisky taste
