Craft brewed in the American style using Australian and English malted barley and American Cascade hops. A refreshing ale with a prominent citrus hop note, balanced towards hop flavour and bitterness.

On tap at Hashigo Zake. Pours a nice reddish amber, off white head. Fruity hops aroma, grapefruity. Medium bitterness & toasty malt. Comes through like a good IPA.

Bottle. Clear amber pour with a creamy beige head that lasts. Aroma has lots of floral hops and notes of toffee, pine, citrus and lavender. Flavour is also hoppy with notes of caramel, honey, malt and citrus. Light body, smooth but slightly thin mouthfeel and a long dry and mildly bitter finish. A good APA, quite sessionable, could be more robust though.

UPDATED: APR 4, 2011 Amber, slightly cloudy. Off-white head. Cascade hops, grapefruit and heaps of malt on the nose. Stone fruits, citrus, light caramel malt. Prominent but gentle hops. [3.7]

Bottle. Clear amber light beige head that fades to a coat. Grapefruit, kumquat, a little pine, caramel aroma. Stone fruit and light caramel under citrus and pine. Bitter finish is there but less pronounced than the initial aromatics.

Pours a lovely deep amber colour with a nice off white head. whilst there is some hops on the nose with the citrus type armos expected of the style. There is also a fair amount of malt. Flavours are much the smae. Some hop bitterness but also a fair amount of malt. Mothfeel is quite heavy. Overall I really like this beer.

Very heavy body for the style. Leaning more to the malt spectrum as most aussie micros do. Light hop bite. Solid beer, needs some reworking.

Lovely gold/amber color. Long lasting off white head. Big hop aromas in the APA style. Balance pushed to far to the hop bitterness for my liking and I struggle to pick up the more subtle flavors.

Great Copper to amber colour with beige head. Looks and smells enticing. Sweet citrus cascade hop aromas really spicey and delicious mmmmmmmm. Some caramel and coffee at the start then the citrus hops then a well rounded bitterness. All works well together and crafted extremely well. A top effort.

Good beer. Plenty of hops on the nose... cascade I believe. Nice bitter feel in the mouth with some caramel malt for good measure. Very enjoyable but not sensational... apparently I only just missed trying it on tap, something which I was assured was better.

First impression on opening, getting hit by cascade. Looks great in the glass; deep amber with creamy, persitant off white head. Cascade and caramel. Didn’t notice the ABV. Good body, i really liked this one.

Vibrant caramel pour with a reasonably sized head that receded rather quickly. Cascade hops are very prominent in the aroma, very green, citrusy and grassy. Malt is definitely not forgotten, quite sweet and clean, with some hints of caramel, and unfortunately, some grainy notes. Flavour is hop dominator (that’s what my notes say, perhaps the alcohol is hitting?), again very green, with some of the citrus coming through. Quite a pronounced hoppy bitterness (almost metallic at times, actually) but the finish really seems to be lacking, almost watery. Good carbonation but a little light on for body.
