Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Also available bottle conditioned at 4.5% abv.
A pale bitter with a pronounced maltiness offset by a delicate hop flavour. Cockfighting was one of the "sports" in the church yard giving rise to the "wicked" epithet. An area on the outskirts of the village, Hathern Turn near the King's Arms, was the scene of many challenge contests and Daniel Lambert undoubtedly visited here before he reached his legendary weight of 53 stones.
Ingredients: Maris Otter pale and crystal malts. Goldings hops.

Vaguely hoppy, caramel malty and almost entirely spilt over the table in Knickersby ’Spoons. Good riddance. Less than classic watery bitter.

Bottle. Still syrupy amber beer with little head. The aroma is lightly bitter and the flavour smooth, lightly dry and caramel. Overall a nice gentle beer.

Bottle conditioned (4.5% abv) from Hathern Post Office. Amber coloured with a slim, somewhat scummy off-white head. Hoppy and bready aroma. Flavours are fruity, nutty and malty with a nice light hoppy bitterness. Light to medium mouthfeel with light carbonation. It’s not perfect but I like it.
