COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Warm and complex this classic abby double at 8% done in our open fermenter. Notes of fig, over ripe banana and coriander pair with a clean dry finish make this beer complex and drinkable example of the style.

Pretty good for a dubbel. Some light florals. Well-balanced. Dark brown pour with good head and lacing. Light hint of close, with some resiny dustiness. Not a huge amount of character though. Tap at Churchkey.

Soft and slightly hazy reddish brown pour with one finger of khaki tan head. Flavor has a sharpness to it. Dry and light bodied. Shows a grainy malt note with a rusty character and light metallic quality.

Keg at the brewpub, Asheville, 17/02/15 @6.6%. Hazed chestnut amber with a moderately appointed light beige cap. Nose is toffee, spice, light funk - almost gueuze like notes. Taste comprises toffee, bitter dark fruits, spice, yeast esters, candied fruit peel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough dubbel, funky bitter notes temper the sweetness making for a drinkable dubbel.

On tap at Funkatorium. Decent but the lingering sweetness makes it drink more like a triple. Hazy dirty amber color. Nice lacing. Lots of spice and banana. Bready and yeasty notes at the forefront. Pretty smooth and really complex. Not my favorite from WW but they don’t make bad beer.

Taster on tap at Wicked Weed during RBWG. Clear, burnt orange color. Thin khaki / off-white head. Smooth, lighter carbonation, kind of a crisp texture. More dry finish. Some mango, citrus peel. Light spice. Zesty sweet, moderate bitter. Interesting, bitter, zesty and citrusy dubbel.
