COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This traditional saison is brewed using North Carolina grown barley, wheat and rye from Riverbend Malthouse and is open fermented. The beer is then finished with Brettanomyces and bottled. Drink it fresh, or let it age and bring out the funk.

Bottle from brewery. Hazy golden pour with a pillowy white head. Good retention. Soft fruity aroma, light lemon, pale grain, grass and a touch of funk. Flavors followed suit with light lemon, earthy hop, cereal, dusty bitterness, dry finish. Lively, prickly carbonation with a lighter body. Pretty tasty.

Bottle share gathering at Bruce’s. Thanks to Rocket Rudkin. Hazy gold beer, good cream colour head. Palate is crisp and dry. Mild fine carbonation. Dry creamy malt. Dry brett savoury leads to mild orange. Touch of citric peel. Mild grain. Dry and slightly bitter brett finish. Dry and a bit overblown on the brett.

Bottle shared at Bruce’s place. Thanks to Colin. Light hazed bright yellow / straw coloured pour with a thin lasting white head. Aroma is floral, pollen, straw, light funk, plastic, lemon. Flavour is nice pineapple, lemon, floral, straw grains, tangy, crisp finish. Palate is light and crisp, tangy fruit, high airy carbonation. Super dry finish. Lingering citrus, Brett funk. Maybe a little thin. Good stuff.

Bottle split at Bruce’s, acquired from the funkatorium, 06/03/15. Hazed orange golden with a decent white cap. Nose is citric tinged straw, funk, pissy, grapefruit, tangerine, melon, quite a tropical medley. Taste comprises apricot, straw, light spice, funk, tangerine, passionfruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying clsoe. Decent tropical infused saison, earthy hops, well balanced.

It pours a murky dark yellow with a white sudsy head and has notes of a funky Brett yeast, citrus hops and a light hint of a peppery spice. This brew has a nice tart citrusy taste with a bold musty yeast presence and a slight bitter spiciness at the end. www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerReviews

Bottle share, thanks to Colin. 2014 vintage, 6.5%. Hazy yellow, green tinge, very lightly sparkling, big foamy white head. Aroma is musty, some citrus, wet dog, metallic. Body is medium to light, foamy, touch of carbonation. Taste is light lager malts, bretty, some metallic notes. Quite a light flavour - was expecting something more punchy. Still, it’s quite enjoyable.

Bottle thanks to Colin. It pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. The nose is earthy, bretty, lemon sherbet, must, grape skin, dirt, manure and general filth. The taste is lightly bitter, musty, earth, wood, spice, drying, straw, barnyard, lemon and grapefruit rind with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. I sort of expected more, but still ok.

Bottle... Pours mostly clear and straw-colored with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. Aromatic standouts are fennel, yeastiness and pale grains. Medium-bodied with prickly carbonation. The flavor is a fusion of sweet cereal grains, bready yeastiness and crusty bitterness. Bittersweet, biscuity finish. Bottle courtesy of biggsbowler!
