COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by a Hendricks gin basil cooler, Coolcumber is made with cucumber, basil and juniper berries. Just like making a great cocktail this beer is dosed carefully with its ingredients to create a one of a kind flavor experience. Golden in color and wonderfully drinkable.

Draft at Good Bottle. Clear golden yellow. Aroms of basil and cucumber! Taste is light, refreshing salad, slightly undercarbonated but tasty.

GABF. Gold pour, white head. This really does taste like a really good gin cocktail made with some beer, cucumber, basil and the juniper. Refreshing and really damn fun to drink.

Sample at the brewpub. Pale golden color with a medium thin white head that diminishes steadily. Short strings of lace. Aroma of cucumber, fruit and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of fresh cucumber, spice, fruit and malt. The finish is cucumbers and basil. Pretty good all around.

Growler shared by one of the NC guys - thanks, Sam or Anthony! Pours a clear, bright gold with a small white head. Simultaneously clean and earthy - notes of cucumbers abound, with pale malts, grass, basil, and juniper berries. Light-bodied, with low to moderate carbonation and a clean, earthy mouthfeel. Pretty good experiment.

Draft to taster at Wicked Weed. Looks solid; a completely transparent lighter gold with white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells like cucumber and juniper berries. Tastes like it smells, but more balanced. The cucumber shines through on the tongue. Solid on the palate with a fairly dry mouthfeel. Solid beer.

Draft sampled at GABF 2014. Pours a light golden body with white lacing. Aroma is fresh cucumber, leaf and basil. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side with the cucumber flavor executed perfectly against the basil character. An awesome cucumber beer.

Asheville, NC - on tap at Wicked Wee. Hazy medium orange pour, soapy white head. Aroma of fresh potting soil, some cucumbers. Flavor presents some melon fruitiness, a touch of basil spiciness, some cucumber tartness, a back end of earthy topsoil. Crisp mouthfeel . Nice diversion while waiting for our table. .

4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey for the Wicked Weed DC Debut event. Poured a clear golden yellow color with a small white head. Aroma was like cucumber juice, similar to the imperial version I had prior to this one. Cucumber is very refreshing in this one, but it is pretty tasty.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2013 Yellow, thin white head. Smells grainy, juniper and basil. Flavor is a lot of juniper, basil, pine, and then a good deal of cucumber flavor, especially as it warms. There is also a touch of hop bitterness, as well. Very refreshing, to say the least. When (if) Wicked Weed starts bottling, this would be a good place to start.
