4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 emacgee (3445) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - FEB 9, 2013Very happy to try a small growler of this at Beer Study. Clean sharp yellow pour with one finger of white head. Super resinous and oily nose, there’s a mild onion/garlic component with lots of citrus. Super hoppy and resinous, pretty awesome.

Pours a lovely golden amber - white head was thin, but that must be from how the bartender prepared it. Aroma is SERIOUSLY hoppy - almost assaults the sinuses with resin and evergreen. Subtle notes of malt and fruit sneak through. Flavor is - WHOA NELLIE, this is hoppier than a bullfrog on angel dust! Malty and fruity side notes manage to make an appearance. Firm texture has s lively fizz that you feel all the way down.

Big thanks to my pal durhambeer for securing me a growler of this deliciousness. Split this with my SF sis and we agreed that it was damn close to being on the level of some Califas hop bombs with a far greater reputation. Handsome medium orange pour with a firm, pert head and crisp, consistent carbonation. Light on the palate, pleasantly bitter and dry finish. Deep pungency to the nose, along with bright fruits. The taste is altogether crisp and vibrant, with a nice demi-sec quality to it (not getting the funk my pals got, more white wine to complement the fruit). Really nice overall.

On tap at Wicked Weed in Asheville, NC. Lighter than expected orange pour with very little head. Aroma of pineapple, wet grass, and grapefruit rind. Delicious bitter hop flavor pine needles and grapefruit mostly. Nice assertive hop flavor and thankfully this one is not balanced at all. Awesome!

Golden color with little to no white head. Aroma is light citrus hops. Flavor is slightly hoppy with a clean finish. Rated from a growler, remember it being a little more assertive at the brewery.

Draught at brewpub. Supper hoppy IPA. None of that overdone malt in some doubles. Grapefruit. Orange. Very tasty.

From a growler. Smells super fresh - hugely hoppy, with some citrus and pine notes coming through forcefully. Taste is slightly bitter, yet comes off light and smooth. Good brew...

Hazy orange color with a nicely lacing head. Big time aroma of resinous hops and tropical fruits. Malty sweet but hops are the star. Found this to be really smooth for a beer this strong. This brew pub rocks!

Sampled from a 32 oz. growler from drsordr. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. The aroma was quite nice with dank, earthy, and resiny hops, grass, and a nice grapefruit citrus burst. Some toasted malt for the base. Pretty nice after a couple days in the growler. The flavor had the earthy and resiny hops, more citrus than the nose indicated, grass with a nice toasted malt backbone. This was very good, but I can’t wait to try it fresh from the tap.

Draft at the brewpub. Cloudy orange pour. Nose of immense hops, pine and resin. Not sure you could get anymore aromatic hop in a beer. Big upfront taste of grapefruit bitterness, grass and resin. Outstanding length. My favorite beer of the bunch at wicked weed.

Wow this beer blew my dome off, huge citrus, mango and tangerine nose layered with dank and skunky notes. Light yellow in color with a slight hop haze. Good carbonation. Really love drinking this beer, it will defiantly become a regular for me.
