Growler from WW. Pours a bright golden with a lovely white head and nice lacing. Nose of Noble hops but also cloves, Belgian yeast, some grass and earthy notes. Taste is a bit too earthy and spicy. Wanted a bit more of the hops. Worked well after 9 holes this afternoon though.

On tap at Wicked Weed downstairs. Such a pretty beer. Pours a slightly orange hazy golden colour with a fluffy white head. Appealingly cloudy. Perfectly subtle Belgian notes but hits all the essentials- clove, pepper, banana, yeast, slight bubblegum, lemon, herbs and a nice dry finish. Super solid.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rated on 02-26-2013 at Wicked Weed Brewing. This draft beer has a small off-white head with a long retention, transparent pale yellow body, no carbonation observed, and no lacing. The aroma is yeast, herbal hops, spice, clove, and light malt. The flavor is lightly bitter, spice, clove, fruity, semi-sweet, and this beer has a dry finish. The mouthfeel is soft carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. This beer is quaffable, but the flavors just did not seem to come together all that well for the style.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
My Bottom Line:
This dry and crisp Belgian-style Blonde develops bubblegum esters and floral arrangements atop crunchy cereals and bitter hop resins.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam tops the shiny golden.
-The mouthfeel is prickly and slender.
-The end result is super clean and professional.
-A Belgian-style ale served on tap, at a US brewery, is rarely this authentic.
On tap at The Funkatorium.

A golden blonde ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, nice fruity malt with cotton candy, light coriander, curacao, OK. In mouth, a nice fruity malt with light chalky character, very nice vanilla fudge, nice. On tap at Funkatorium.

Draft at the source. Clear golden color. Aroma of straw and white pepper. Taste is dusty lemon. Slightly boozy, plain.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at brewpub. Pours golden with an inch of white foam. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Has a bit of that Belgian yeast thing on the nose. A bit perfumed on the tongue which is par for the course given the style. Finishes clean. Solid but a bit dull.

A bit of a surprise-an above average blond ale. More tart than I was expecting definitely. Quite tasty.

On tap at Wicked Weed. Pours a clear golden yellow color with white head. Hay, yeasty, malty, barn aromas. Nice Belgian, yeasty, straw flavors. Very nice belgian style beer!
