COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This triple IPA is brewed once a year and released during Asheville Beer Week. With 94 lbs of hops in only 11 barrels of beer, this exceeds the definition of a hoppy beer. We dry hop this beer here separate times with a blend of Centennial, Simcoe, Amarillo and Mosaic hops to create a tropical fruit explosion of deliciousness.

Cask in the basement at Wicked Weed. Hopped with Pacific Gem. Cloudy yellow. I’ve never seen such care by a bartender! Smells of hops and tangerines. Flavor is a palate bruiser. Huge hops. Big beer... (4181)

Growler shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop aroma. Heavy bitter flavor with a moderate to heavy bitter finish of moderate to long duration. Copious body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate alcohol bite at the finish. Standout brew.

Pours a slightly hazy golden brown on tap with bubbly white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma is big resinous hops, citrus and new world zest, hints of garlic and earth. Taste follows, super hoppy, just a faint caramel malt back. Medium carbonation, no real hint of the booze, amazing.

32oz growler, thanks to alexsdad06 for sharing, and thanks to b3shine for getting it to him. Clear orange color. Thin off-white head. Decent bits of lace. Amazing huge hoppy flavor on this. Apricot, pine, earthy hops. Strong grapefruit, light orange citrus, big piney resin. Some pineapple. This is what liquid hops is supposed to taste like. Despite being such a big beer, this is very hop forward, almost exclusively hoppy in the flavor. Malt takes a back seat in the 4th row. Bigger body, necessary to host this obscene level of hops. Smooth, lightly soft, lighter carbonation. Dry finish. Great, long, complex hoppy piney citrusy finish. Hops buzz on the palate long after each sip. Easily one of the best DIPAs I’ve ever had.

Didn’t think it could get better than The Freak DIPA, but this triple dry hopped version with 11.4% abv is extremely drinkable and enjoyable.

Sampled at the brewpub. It poured a golden color with a white head. The aroma was of pine resin, some tangerine and citrus hops. The taste was similar with some caramel, maybe a hint of wood and tropical fruits. Awesome.

Growler shared with the group returned to Cincy lightning fast courtesy of b3shine. Pours a clear bright golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor pop with pine resin, dank, catty, and tangerine citrus hops. Flavor adds some caramel, wood, the only thing that could have made this better was to have had it fresh from the tap at the source. Super drinkable, big imperial ipa that hides its full potential.
