3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft from downstairs taproom. Pours a clear chestnut with a small white head. Nose of oak and vanilla with grapey vinous notes. Taste adds brown sugar and a nice kick of the wine barrel. I can’t say I love most American quads but the barrel aging makes this one interesting.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Brown color with an off white head. Aroma is complex with alcohol, dark fruits, wine qualities, cherries, figs, spices. The flavor is big and sweet with dark fruit and chocolate showing up. A bit of oak in there. Caramel also I missed that one. No rookie weak sauce here. Overall nice sipper.

After a questionable moment with the peach habanero saison I returned to awesomeness with this amazing quad. You wanna talk tasteful barrel aging, here it is. The aroma has solid oaken, vanilla notes with a deep, grape, vinous quality. The quad itself is herbal like cloves with brown sugar sweetness. It’s got a good palate and a juicy sweet body to make this a fantastic sipper. There are notes of dates among the vinous barrel flavors and esters with a very complex, lingering finish.
