3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
At brewery. Pours ruby-brown, dark, and with a foamy but light beige head. Nose shows lots of the raspberry and dark malts as well as some chocolate hints. Taste is sweet raspberry and dark bread at first, but the chocolate comes through slowly and with a nice bitterness. Finishes less sweet than expected, in a good way.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the Wicked Weed, this pours an almost opaque ruby-mahogany into the glass, with a light soapy tan head that leaves ring lacing. The nose is spot on for raspberries and woody notes. Flavors are similar, a touch dry, of raspberry pits and skins, wood, hay, grain and earth, finishing clean with a dry bakerís chocolate. The woody bitters are balanced nicely with the fruit and cacao. The brew provides a nice quaff, being highly drinkable, all the while substantive and showing a truly unique side to the traditional Saison. The Weed comes through again!

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This draft brew from the brewery poured a large sized head of foamy tan colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque except at the edges dark ruby red brown colored body and a good lacing. The complex aroma was floral chocolate raspberry and woody. The mild citrus mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow chocolate aftertaste. The good flavor contained notes of wood raspberry floral chocolate hops and malt. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

Brewvival Trip Beer 24. Pours a clear dark red-brown color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of big rich chocolate and tart berries. The taste is tart berries, currants, bitter chocolate. Medium bodied, quite nice.
