COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Serenity is our aptly named 100% Brettanomyces fermented beer. We are one of only a handful of breweries in the US doing 100% Bretta fermentation. That said for our first one we wanted to do it in the farmhouse style that bretta entered the Belgian brewing world. Serenity is light in color with a subtle golden haze, the nose bursts of white grape, mango, pineapple and old leather. The flavors are similar to those found in New Zealand white wines and notes of guava and grape skin stand out leading to a well-rounded finish.

Formerly known as Transcendence.

Many thanks to Michael for the bottle. Has a strawy, lemony color, with a small, white head. Smells of sulfur, horse blanket, lemon peel, with a hint of pepper. Musty malts with a pungent acidity form the most dominant notes of the nose, with a decent inclusion of crisp lemon and unripe grapefruit. While the nose promised an excessive funkiness, the taste is comparably tame. It begins with white lemon peel, among bready malts and a gentle, strawy, wheat foundation. The carbonation is very lively, pointing out the refreshing sour qualities, while the actual sourness remains quite moderate, hiding beneath the wheat. Got a green apple fruitiness, as well as a yoghurty of flavor to it, which shines during the semi-dry, but not particular sour finish. Drinks fairly easy, very smooth for a Sour, while trying a little too hard to stay in balance, by not providing a convincing acidic sourness.

Bottle, thanks for sharing! Pours a hazy light earthy yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a decent aount of funk and earrthy tart fruits with a hint tropical fruits. Flavor starts with heavy barnyard with dry, earthy tart fruits and a hint of light grains.

Bottle shared at tasting. Pours light clear golden. Smells kind of like a pilsner, light funk. Taste same with not a good finish. Not crazy about this one.

Hazy straw with small white head. Wheaty, funky aroma. Flavor opens dry sour, finishes bitter and sweet. OK beer.
