COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is Wicked Weed’s first session beer, and we couldn’t be more excited about it. We wanted to create a low alcohol beer that is easy drinking, but not lacking in flavor. This 4.7% ABV ale is light amber in color, has caramel and toffee notes on malt side, and is dry hopped with an array of citrus forward hops.

Pretty easy drinking, which I suppose is the point. On the sweet side with a little bit of a harsh hop aftertaste. Amber and medium bodied. Tried at the brewery on the way to ASEH in 2015.

Draft in the Brewery basement bar This was my first beer from this iconic brewpub. They called it a session IPA. It is listed here as an amber ale. The ale poured a clear amber color with a small head. The flavor had moderate hops and bitterness. The ale had a medium body with soft carbonation.

On tap at Wicked Weed. Amazing tropical fruity aroma. Pleasant sweet tropical fruit taste with a wicked dry bitter finish. Very tasty.

Keg @ Wicked Weed. Amber pour with a small white head. Nose is pretty grassy. Kings bread. Tree bark. Nutty malt flavor. Nicely dry bitter finish. Lemon peel. Very well balanced.

Rated on 02-26-2013 at Wicked Weed B.C. This draft beer presents a small beige head that is mostly lasting, transparent golden body, no visible carbonation, and a fair amount of lacing. The aroma is citrus hops, toasty, and caramel malt. The flavor is moderately bitter, citrus, pine hops, light spice, caramel malt, and a dry finish. The mouthfeel is light carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, a very quaffable beer that has a hop presence that was unexpected given the ABV.

Draft at the source. Clear amber color, medium white head. Aroma of stone fruit and baking biscuits. Taste is biscuit, caramel. Glad to have met Ryan at the sourfest in Charlotte.

Draft pour from Wicked Weed. Pours a copper color with a tan head. Smells of citrus, floral and hops. The flavor matches the smell. There’s a hint of sweetness at the end of the taste.

Pretty copper amber pour with one finger of tan head. Nose is nice, notes of citrus and a touch of peachy hops. There’s a delightfuly floral and citrusy hop character in the flavor. Light woody notes and a touch of malt sweetness.

>> Pours clear amber with good webby lacing. Nose is hoppy citrus, big pine, lemon verbena. Taste is weaker, tea, pine. Palate is lighter, watery, paper.

Taster on tap at Wicked Weed during RBWG. Clear orange red color. Thin khaki head. Respectable lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Kind of citrusy, grapefruity, some tropical fruit aroma, some caramel, lightly toasty malt. Moderate bitter, lightly spicy taste. Awesome, darker, impressively malty session IPA. Nice complexity to it. My only complaint - a bit too assertive to be as poundable as advertised.
