COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
9% abv. Ruby Red in color this hoppy west coast style imperial red ale is also aged in Bourbon barrels. After aging in the bourbon barrels we dry hopped this beer with a ton of citrusy hops to create a unique and full flavored beer even the biggest beer geek can enjoy. Recommended pairing for this ale would be a seat next to our outdoor fire pit. The flavors of this ale might overpower a lot of food.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were and left behind a transparent golden brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The nice aroma was hoppy malty and Irish Red malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The deep flavor contained notes of oak Irish red malt and hops. A wonderful best in class brew.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy amber gold with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of oak with a light grassy hop and some sweet grains/caramel. Flavor has nice combination of grass and caramel with an oaky finish.

Hazy dull red, frothy white head, alcohol aroma, nutty taste, alcohol, not much oak flavor. Earthy hops.

8 oz. glass at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy amber. Much like their barrel aged imperial stout, this has really good Bourbon character. The difference is that is basically all that’s going on with the Transgressor. It doesn’t have quite the flavor to stand up to the intense Bourbon flavor. There are biscuity hints and the finish becomes grassy after a few sips. It’s still a delicious beer with impressive whiskey flavor.
