COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This ale is a nod to the Northwestern states. Brewed to 6.6% abv and 45ibu this is a robust sunset red colored ale. The use of multiple varieties of crystal (aka. caramel) malts gives this ale a huge amount of malt depth. Malt flavors of toffee, caramel and sugarcane bring a sweetness to the large amount of hops used in this ale that is hard to achieve. This ale has a juicy fruit like hop flavor and a dank evergreen and grapefruity aroma. Recommended pairings, burgers, spicy food, vinegerette salad.

On tap at the Wicked Weed, this pours a nice amber into the glass, with a soapy head that leaves soapy lacing. The nose is of spices, melons and citrus, with a hint of candied sweetness. Flavors of biscuit malt abound, with light bitters, some cherry and caramel. The ABV is wonderfully integrated, as the finish peppers the tongue lightly alongside piney bitter accents. This is a very nice red, super tasty, not too sweet, with a large body and substantive mouthfeel. Great winter warmer.

10 oz. pour at the brewpub. I’m telling you that Wicked Weed is my shit!! This amber ale, a style that normally doesn’t excite me, is delicious. The hops are a sticky, resinous herbal pine accent over the cleanly biscuity malts. There’s a bit of berry flavor as well. Finish is dank and simultaneously bready. It’s perfectly bittersweet. Awesome.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a uncarbonated transparent golden brown colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy malty and caramel malt. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of toffee vanilla Irish red malt and hops. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2013 Brewvival Trip Beer 25. Draft at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy red color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toffee, tart fruits, herbal hops. The taste is toffee, bitter herbal, resin and citrus hops. Medium bodied.
