Bottled (PBF, BB 02/2009). Pale yellow color, some white head, Hemp-like cat piss grassy aroma. Harsh, citrusy, papery and sweet malty flavor. Poor showing.

50cl bottle from the local Rewe. Pours pale yellow with a small head. Aroma is unconvincing. Flavour is sharp and metallic with an unpleasant aftertaste. Yuck.

Typical pilsener golden colour with a nice frothy head. Grainy to citric, slightly spicy aroma. Fine hops on a not-so-fine bready vegetable foundation and a rather mild bitterness in the end. Not a top-seeded german pilsener, but your wallet will be thankful if you buy this for BBQ.

bought in Düsseldorf - clear and pale golden colour with a white foamy and chaotic head, nice lace; earthy and spicy aroma with notes of grass; quite oily with a good malt body; some bitterness before a long herbal finish - classical and ok but not more
Earlier Rating: 9/2/2002 Total Score: 3.2
clear golden colour, few head, strong herbal aroma, full-bodied with a long dry finish - correct pils

Bottle 50cl. @ home.
Clear medium yellow color with a average to large, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, cabbage water, cardboard. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20081206]

[green bottle] Pleasant, fresh hops aroma that mingles with some skunk. Slightly crisp, with not so much malt. Clear gold with a patchy, white cover. Skunky flavour with some crisp sweet malt and an almost overpowering bitterness for the weak flavour. Typical, unremarkable, German Pils. Not offensive. Light body, medium carbonation, crisp finish.

0,5L bottle, bought in Münster, NRW, Germany. Pale blonde beer with a small white head. Aroma is light with sweet, straw, malt aroma and a earthy hop. Light crackery malt leads into a herbal, slightly grassy, hop note that finishes dry. Moderate carbonation, and light feel.

500ml bottle from Real, Munchengladbach. Very pale gold, lasting white head. Slgiht yeast on aroma. Some lemon hop. Not great in the mouth. Bit empty. Then lemon/lime finish, touch of sting. Not that good. Finish is ok, rest is a bit light in character.
