COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A rich, amber, smooth, well balanced beer with a terrific hoppy finish. If you require succour after rambling along the Cotswold Way, then it has to be the beer of the Cotswolds...Cotswold Way.

Cask at Market Porter, London. Amber/orange beer, small but lasting offwhite head. Malty fruity aroma. Fruity grape flavor with some hops.

Cask at the Pembury Tavern. Pours a clear, light orange with very little head. Honey and caramel malts in the aroma. Flavor is nicely balanced, with bready malts and mild bitterness. Subtle caramel sweetness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes bready and lightly hoppy. Quintessential bitter I would say. Nice beer.

[500ml bottle supplied by ChrisP] Pours a thin-looking amber colour, aromas are malty, with a touch of hops. Palate is watery, with some caramel. Insipid. Not bad, but not great [13102008]

50cl bottle from Tesco, Reading. Chestnut brown with a fast fading loose cream head; sweet malt aroma; sickly sweet stale malt flavour with a soapy mouthfeel and some weak hops. Rather unpleasant.

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2009 Not BC. Clear chestnut with a thinning off white slick. Caramel, toasty grain, rust, chocolate, salt water and rye bread aroma. Thinnish with notes of cream, milk chocolate, hazelnut and caramel. Slight soapiness in the finish, with clean bready afters. Brown ale down to the clear bottle. Pleasant.

Not bad at all, but this brewery tends to do beers with a little bread taste. I like it a lot.
