3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A Mes rate:
Cask at Baker Street ’Spoons. Aroma isnt great. Strange rusty note. Like the colour, fairly red for the style and the head was reasonably impressive too. Treacle toffee flavours with plenty of malt and a little fruit. Delicately bitter finish. So-so.

Pint on cask at The Prince of Wales (Wetherspoon’s), Cardiff. Slightly hazy dark, ruby body. Thin off-white head. Roasted malty sweetness to the nose. Flavour has got a malty profile with sweet caramel and ending up with a light touch of yeast and hoppy bitterness. More than moderate palate (03.02.2007).
