Cask, handpump at The Hope and Anchor, Bristol, 28.01.12 Pours dark brown with a light brown rim. Mostly caramel and maltiness and if truth be known a little thin. Some chocolate, easy going and has appeal but I wouldn’t necessarily rush for a second one. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.2

Cask (handpump) at the Market Porter on 26 February 2011. Dark red colour. Some fruity esters in the aroma. Quite firm on the palate with dark chocolate and burnt smoky malt notes. A very respectable and satisfying drop.

This is a different beer from the mild already on ratebeer. Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 15/02/2011. Dark brown with a slight tan head. Sweet, caramel and milk chocolate aroma with a touch of prune. Easy drinking, with plenty of milk chocolate and dark fruit, before a dryish, slightly roasty finish. Lacks the character of Station Porter, but drinkable.
