Clear gold beer. Soft and semi dry palate. Very mild everything! A little bit of malt and a touch of pineapple and grapefruit hop. Apologetic beer but drinkable. Too dry!

Cask, Highcross, Leicester. Hazy gold with a small white head. Aromas are biscuit malts with grain and peppery hops. A bit rough. Flavours are dry biscuit with hints of toffee. Bitter green, dry finish with grapefruit pith. Not great.

Cask, gravity dispensed, at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Amber with a ring of white head; aroma of oranges and malt; light body with orange fruit flavours and grassy hops to finish; a light and elegant bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 13/4/08. Pale gold with a decent, frothy white head. Aroma of hay with some floral hops. Flavour started sweet before some citrus hops and a short bitter finish. OK.

Cask handpull at Willow Walk, JDW, Victoria. Decent hoppy finish, good condition, good wideish mouthfeel on this light English bitter. Excellent lacing. Very light bitter, but lemon citrus is good.

A Mes rate: Cask at JDW. Citric hops and a bit of bacon fat in the aroma. Odd lemonade lolly flavour. Kinda like it, just it’s all too mellow.

Cask@Charlies. Neutral aroma. Hazy golden, low creamy head. Very nice amalgam of lon lingering fruityness and floral notes. Ok Chewyness. Floral and grassy aftertaste.
