COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Drawing inspiration from an Old Fashioned cocktail recipe and the Gentlemen’s Clubs where the cocktail was first served over 100 years ago, this collaboration beer brings together two breweries from opposite ends of the country and ingredients from the home states of both breweries. Using an Old Ale recipe as the base beer, Gentlemen’s Club was brewed with cherries and oranges, Alchemy, Sorachi Ace and Pacifica hops, and hand-selected specialty malts to mirror the qualities typically found in an Old Fashioned cocktail. The beer was aged on three different woods: bourbon barrels, rye whiskey barrels and new oak spirals, resulting in three unique versions of the beer, each offering a slightly different take on the same age-old recipe.

Reddish brown with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet, with oxidized orange and caramel. There’s a lot of bourbon up front in the taste, with odd, boozy fruitcake into the aftertaste. Not sure what all the hype is about, or the $18/22oz pricetag ($10 on sale)

Bottle @ The Lets do a Chris O tasting. Pours brown with a very slight head. Whisky and fruit on the nose same type of thing going on taste wise but more whisky and less fruit, this tasted like it was rough cheap bourbon barrels and did it no favours

Amberish and existent white head. Bright bourbon, plastically/tinsel grainy citrus nose. Chewy Bourbon is consistent and creamy but rocks the boat a little throughout, engulfing a decent woody malt middle and a dry and logical finish. Trafficked bourbon astringency doesn’t decant any enjoyment from what was probably a well put together brew.

Bottle, CAGarvie’s "Let’s Do A Chris O" Chris-O-age, vile style

Bottle at Craig’s. Copper pour, thin white head. Bourbon and dried fruit nose. Taste is a bit too much bourbon for me, and some alcohol burn. Not subtle. Bitter finish. OK.

Bottle at the RBWG 2014 grand tasting, thanks! Pours a clear amber orange with a tan head that starts at the edges and dissipates completely. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grains/bread with some bourbon and a hint of light fruits underlying. Flavor has more sweet grains and bourbon with some bread and light fruits underlying.

RBWG14 Trip Rating #138. Bottle shared at the Grand Tasting. Pours a hazy copper color with a medium sized frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of bourbon, candied citrus, herbal notes, mild chocolate. Taste is herbal hops, bourbon, candied citrus, buttery finish. Medium bodied.

Sampled at 2014 RBWG Grand Tasting. Thanks to my brother for bringing this up from Florida! Reddish coppery brown. Lots of bourbon, cinnamon, some sublte fruity notes, too. As it warms, I get allspice, chocolate, and more bourbon. pretty enjoyable all around.
