Appearance: the beer is a very clear light amber color, pours with a medium beige head, Aroma: not much aroma at all, possibly some malt Taste: lightly sweet malt caramel up front followed immediately by a bitter kick, has a spice to it as well, bitter finish Palate: bitter aftertaste, lively carbonation, lighter but not super light mouthfeel Overall: a good pale ale, could use more character from the hops besides the bitterness, the malt shines thru as well, needs work on the aroma ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home split with Sarah, picked up a GBBF 2014. Golden orange coloured pour, mostly clear, with a lasting sticky loose white head. Aroma is sweet caramel malts, with some grassy cascade hops, light pine needles. Flavour is composed of nutty, light caramel base malts with nice wet grass and berry fruits. Nicely balanced malts and hops. Palate is semi sweet and moderate carbonation. Very drinkable. Could see myself drinking a few pints of this. Lingering grassy and lemon hop with a little caramel.

Tasted on 10/27/14 from a capped 12oz bottle purchased at the grocery store. Pours hazy dark orange with a thick beige head that slowly recedes to average, rocky lace. The nose is fairly fresh grassy, lightly herbal hops, with a bit of brown sugar bread malt. The flavor is a bit more herbal with a bit more malt that comes through sweeter than expected based on the nose. The body is medium with average, stinging carbonation and a medium malty, lightly herbal finish.

Bottle. Nose dough and pine, lightly spicy, my second straight from Widmer that takes the Lagunitas tack [unfortunately, neither pulled it off]. Pours lightly gradient orange with slight carbonation and a sudsy beige head. Taste lightly sweet, light body and only lightly effervescent, still weighed down by minor alcohol. Toffee and earth, little lining of toast here and there, but otherwise the malt is simple and weak. Mildly soapy, no astringency or tannin problems, light herbal and woodsy swipes but no more direct pine or caramel (and pretty minimal citrus, too). The blandification continues.

Bottle@ahven. Coppery light hazy. Rich caramelly, butterscotchy nose with lime citrus hops for balance. Soft body, easy. Pines, some oranges, caramels in flavour. Pretty decent bodied apa. Easy drink.

---Rated BY Italianbeer85
