2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Not the best Pale Ale I’ve had. Yellow in color. Good head. Taste was like hay, some light citrus. Aroma was weak with a slight straw and citrus smell.

Poured a caramel orange hazy color with three fingers of frothy khaki white head. Nice layer of lacing along the sides of the glass. Good retention all the way down.
Smelled a lot of hops from the get go. Got citrus, pine, lemon, orange rind and floral. Also sugary notes.
Tasted tangerine, orange, orange rind, peach, floral notes, rye, iced tea, lemon, orange cream and grass.
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt fruity finish.
A pretty good beer. I was kind of wavering on a few ratings, but I’d have it again.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance: Pours amber gold wuth visible rising carb. Not much in the way of head.
Aroma: Light citrusy hops and some toast.
Taste: Husky sweet malt, nice little hop bite. Tropical and piny. Thankfully the hop bite wins out.
Mouthfeel: Fizzy. Peppery, thin with a little astringency.
Overall: This was ok, but left a lot to be desired. In my case, I could have used a little bit more body and hops, especially if it’s really 5.8%. I can see this beer falling off quick, and I feel bad for both Widmer and or an uneducated customer tries to by this 2-3 months outside of bottling.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a clear amber color with a meadium white head that leaves good lacing. Smells of citrus, caremel and pine. Tastes of all the same things in the smell. Mouthfeel is medium and creamy with good carbonation and a semi dry finish. This is a really tasty pale ale. I’m liking the new hops used in this beer. Would it drink again for sure.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Some citrus hop and caramel for the aroma. Clear orange color. Bitter start, relaxed malty finish. Medium body, reasonable zest. Slightly more hoppy than average American pale.
