Pretty good beer, but I am biased toward APAís. There are some grapefruit and floral notes on the nose. Very little head on the pour. Pale to medium amber in color. Very good flavor, but light enough to have a few in a session. This beer is also very light on the palate. Iím a fan, but it definitely leaves me wanting more.

Pours a clear golden/orange color with a medium white head. Aroma has light fruitiness...citrusy orange and passionfruit...a bit of an orange tea note and a mild spice i cant place. Flavor has lots of fruity hoppiness with pine and resin creeping in...underlying caramel and something akin to chamomile or vanilla. Mouthfeel is light and the fi ish is dry and earthy/piney bitter. Given reviews, it seems like this one may not be consistent but I think I had a good batch and it was enjoyable.

Not so great out of the gate. Very strong aroma. Very bitter at first but then levels out to actually a really good taste. Very tasty with a Menthol ecig. Not one of my favorites but would purchase again.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is dusty, grassy and grapefruity to pine. Bitter, grapefruity. Bitter and dry herbal into the finish.

Bottle from GBBF 2013 drunk at home listening to Simon & Garfunkel. Clear amber colour thin lasting off white head. Slightly oxidised aroma. Some toffee, some very harsh, metallic hop flavour. Some hop. Itís fine, Just a little metallic and may be a touch oxidised from the journey across the pond. Some decent orange fruit. Fine.

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2014 Spicy (spices), caramel flavors. Flat carbonation. Mostly malt and caramel flavors. Dry finish...Nothing worth seeking out again....2nd rating, off tap wob cap hill. Dry and silky, slightly thin beginning. Vanilla and caramel. Nicely Hopped pale ale. Better than my first experience.

Fell victim to full page ad in Beer Advocate mag and bought a 6 pack at The Bottle Shop in Ardmore. Really intriguing aroma, definitely a resinous quality that is linked to Northern Cali and the Pacific NW. Earthy, musty hops give way fresh baked banana bread and a noticeable yeast quality. Medium bodied with a slick and sometimes chewy mouthfeel for a Pale ALe. Orange-y appearance with moderate head retention and decent lacing. Flavor is a bit more malt-forward than I prefer from the style. Hops are well balanced but lack any definable characteristics to set Alchemy apart from its counterparts. A little on the dry side. Not a bad beer by any means but falls somewhere in the 50-75th percentile of craft pales. Quite similar to Deschutes Mirror Pond Pale I thought.

Aroma is excellent but the taste is disappointing. Not bad but expected a better taste from the smell.

Pours a clear amber color with a moderate white head. Aroma is hops and mild citrus. Taste is hops up front, with a bitter, slightly soapy finish. Pretty good

Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Aromas of citrus dominate, with just a hint of caramel. Taste is, once again, citrus forward, with some dry malt, very bread-like in character, in the background. Itís almost like cereal, really. Finish is fairly clean, and itís pretty light on the palate. While nothing to write home about, itís much better than most beers I find on tap.
