3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours an cloudy amber with a medium, foamy looking white head. The aroma is a blend of both malt and citrus. It consists of caramel, bread, grapefruit, and pine. The taste continues along these lines, with the citrus elements coming out a little more here. In here I find grapefruit, yeast, orange, caramel, and bread. The aftertaste is a blend of caramel and grapefruit, but there is quite a lot of yeast that dampers things in my opinion. Medium bodied, lighter in carbonation, with a chewy texture. I must say that everything in here is balanced pretty well. But nothing is particularly exciting with this one.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted from a 12 brown bottle into a nonic glass, thanks John! It poured an orange amber colour with some chill haze, fluffy off-white foam, lasting with lace. Seemed a basic APA maltbill with faint caramel but the main focus on their proprietary Alchemy hops blend. I’ve read it contains Warrior, Millennium, and Horizon, which are common American bittering varieties, but I got lots of cool flavours and aromas which I normally associate with "fancier" varieties like Chinook, Sorachi Ace, Mosaic, Citra, etc. Predictable grapefruit/pine resin, but also hints of mango, melons, lemon peel, some interesting earthiness and very faint musky heaviness (in a good way.) Light-medium body and average carbonation, some cool chalky/hard water aspects in the mouthfeel, and a lingering fruity/flowery aftertaste. Good stuff.

Tried it on pint night and was pleasantly surprised. Doesn’t really have much of an aroma, but has a crisp refreshing taste to it. Nothing special but very drinkable.
