3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours clear copper with a slight white head. Aroma seems very floral with a possible citrus touch. Flavor starts very floral and then develops fruit that seems tropical. Then a little caramel is detectible. The maltís a little unroasty for an APA, and tho itís nicely hoppy, itís not very bitter. On the other hand the bitter builds with time. Odd and tasty ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Crisp copper coloured body with a light bronze glow and a nice two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of light grassy and herbal hops with a very light cardboardie malt scent and some water with earth mixed in. Medium-bodied; Nice crisp caramel flavour with some light fruits tucked in and following with some grassy, herbal and piney hop flavours. Aftertaste shows a smooth finish with some light fruits, a bit of hops and a good sweetness. Overall, a nice balance and some pleasant hops while remaining relatively light-bodied and crisp. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 17-June-2013 for US$8.49/6pack sampled here at home in Washington on 21-June-2013.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz May 2013 bottle served in a snifter.
Pour is a very orange amber, with a small and short-lived head. Spots of lacing are left on the glass. Crystal clear and no sediment in the glass.
Fine, moderately strong aroma of citrus, spruce and herbal hops with a hint of sweet malt. The flavor too is nicely hoppy, but more fruity while the malt load is more apparent, particularly in the very mild bitterness. Has the unusual dynamics of seeming more bitter mid-taste than in the fnish.
Medium-light body; well carbonated; semi-dry finish.
O: Itís easy to like this very drinkable APA. Recommended.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nice floral aroma of hops...fresh. Orange amber in color with thin white head. Mild malt taste in front..not that sweet, almost like a bitter with a hint of spice.. Followed nicely with a clean, medium bitterness. Clean, refreshing, APA.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hops are this are dominantly citrus, especially orange peel, and in some sense, give a tartness that is not unlike drinking orange juice, mixed with beer, and that is where this beer falls apart. While the underlying malts had a nice toasty breadiness to them, the orange juice hops just detracted all the way through.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours an cloudy amber with a medium, foamy looking white head. The aroma is a blend of both malt and citrus. It consists of caramel, bread, grapefruit, and pine. The taste continues along these lines, with the citrus elements coming out a little more here. In here I find grapefruit, yeast, orange, caramel, and bread. The aftertaste is a blend of caramel and grapefruit, but there is quite a lot of yeast that dampers things in my opinion. Medium bodied, lighter in carbonation, with a chewy texture. I must say that everything in here is balanced pretty well. But nothing is particularly exciting with this one.
