Golden pour with thin white head. Great color for the name. Smells of grass and pine - pretty nice. With some piney bitterness comes a great malt flavor. This stuff is smooth as heck with a clean finish.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into schooner glass. Appearance: pours a pillowy off white head that falls slowly with some nice lacing. Color is somewhat cloudy copper with abundant streaming carbonation. Aroma: citrus and floral hops dominate, with some malt sweetness in the background. Mouthfeel: light to medium bodied with a wet finish. Flavor: citrus is throughout the taste with some balancing malt sweetness Overall: enjoyable but nothing outstanding.

Poured from 12 oz bottle a medium deep copper color, forming a white head of foam. Aroma of hops, herbs, malted goodness, and Irish field grass. Flavour much of the same, with some slight tropical fruits, medium mouth feel and finishes both malty and bitter.

Another decent beer from Widmer. Pours a nice rich amber with a decent head. Nose full of hops and grain. Pungent on the palate with good bitterness. Nice blend of hop taste and malt. Very enjoyable.

Distinctive fleshly hoppy aroma and pale colour. Not particularly bitter. Caramel and slightly malt aroma increase the fullness of this beer.

From a bottle this is a more of an orange pale ale. Has a somewhat cloying sweet aroma, alarming. Quite strong on the palate at first with hops but then it smoothes out a little. Pretty good co2 impact. If this is celebrating alchemy, so be it. I’m just not sure if this beer is alchemy. One thing I gottah say, this beer hides the alky, would never know its near 6%.

Bottle from Fred Meyer. Amber/orange in color. Nose is sweet and fruity with a bit of hoppiness. Lightly hopped with a solid malt backbone. A bit of breadiness as well.

A: Dark amber almost orange very clear little head not long lasting S: baked biscuit with herbal or piney hop presence T: biscuit or slight burnt toast malts combine nicely with the hops providing a lingering piney note on the back end especially. good balance, nice tasting pale ale M: light medium bodied. slightly below average carbonation. finishes with clean bitterness. nice and not overwhelming at any stage O:a very good, inoffensive ale. not much really stands out but thats probably good as this is a very tasty and drinkable brew. i like it and would buy it again
