From a bottle this is a more of an orange pale ale. Has a somewhat cloying sweet aroma, alarming. Quite strong on the palate at first with hops but then it smoothes out a little. Pretty good co2 impact. If this is celebrating alchemy, so be it. I’m just not sure if this beer is alchemy. One thing I gottah say, this beer hides the alky, would never know its near 6%.

A: Dark amber almost orange very clear little head not long lasting S: baked biscuit with herbal or piney hop presence T: biscuit or slight burnt toast malts combine nicely with the hops providing a lingering piney note on the back end especially. good balance, nice tasting pale ale M: light medium bodied. slightly below average carbonation. finishes with clean bitterness. nice and not overwhelming at any stage O:a very good, inoffensive ale. not much really stands out but thats probably good as this is a very tasty and drinkable brew. i like it and would buy it again

Pullo @ Baltic Princess Pub.

Bottle. Orange-golden-amber, little head. Slightly metallic but outdoorsy character overall. Mellow caramel with a mild hop flourish. Decent. (#5909, 12/31/2014)

330ml bottle served in a pokal glass. A: Pours a clear orange color forming a big and bubbled light yellow head. Medium retention and lots of soapy lingering lacings left in the glass. S: Strong notes of caramel malts, citrus fruits and grassy hops. Notes of caramel malts, grapefruit and orange zest. T: Slightly sweet upfront. Strong notes of caramel malts and citrus fruits. Strong hops character. Grassy and resin profile. Good hops bitterness. A bit metallic. M: Light body. Medium carbonation. Caramel malts and grassy hops aftertaste. O: Good drinkability. Strong American pale ale character.

Appearance: the beer is a very clear light amber color, pours with a medium beige head, Aroma: not much aroma at all, possibly some malt Taste: lightly sweet malt caramel up front followed immediately by a bitter kick, has a spice to it as well, bitter finish Palate: bitter aftertaste, lively carbonation, lighter but not super light mouthfeel Overall: a good pale ale, could use more character from the hops besides the bitterness, the malt shines thru as well, needs work on the aroma ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
