Ungstrup (10863), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 5, 2008 Draft. An amber beer with a lazing light tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of caramel and fruit. The flavor is dry with strong notes of bisquits and caramel as well as hints of citrus, leading to a slightly bitter finish. The body is thin. Somewhat boring. Bradrcr (532), Renton, Washington, USA Feb 9, 2008 1/19/08 On draught at the Portland brewhouse. Aroma is highly sweet, with no hop character. Appearance is clear copper with a moderate off white head. Flavor is artificially sweet; noble hops are very faint and in the background. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a clean finish. Overall, not bad, but lacking some expected complexity. hotstuff (3019), Indiana, USA Feb 1, 2008 Draft at Widmer Brothers BC, Portland, OR. Small tan head that mostly diminished with a fair amount of lacing, transparent, no carbonation observed, and an orange hue. The nose was malty and hoppy. The flavor was malty, mildly hoppy, roasty, sweet and finished dry. Smooth, dry mouthfeel and light body. Quaffable brew, but not outstanding IMO. Angeloregon (1549), Portland, Oregon, USA Dec 30, 2007 On tap at Widmer Gasthaus in PDX, OR--Poured a copper-mahogany body with a small whitish head. Mild esters with a sticky malty flavor. Pretty sessionable. Not much hop presence. Decent, but not that spectacular.
