| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 3, 2009 12oz bottle. This beer pours a rich red copper. Reasonable head that melts to a consistent thin covering over the top of the beer. Some lacing, but not alot. The nose is spiced flowers. Very nice hoppy smell, expectation is that this will be an over-hopped holiday beer. Then the taste. What a balance. Expectation is IPA level hops, but the taste brings in the smooth sweet malts. Hops are noticible, but not overbearing. The mouthfeel is nice, full, smooth. Palate is balanced and the finish is smooth. This beer gets MORE flavorful as it approaches room temperature. And the slightly elevated ABV makes this a truly good winter evening brew. Well done W. Bros. hamsterglory (48), Bryan, Texas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 27, 2009 this was not as great as i wanted it to be. though hoppier than i expected from a christmas seasonal, the metallic overtones cancelled out the pure enjoyment of the flavor. the red appearance indicated a sweeter aroma while the coppery floral aroma prepared me for an IPA’s worth of fine hoppage. but neither happened. overall i found this a nice addition to the christmas line-up, but certainly not something i will run back to anytime soon. i’d take a widmer broken halo over a brrrr anyday of the week. arrogantb (700), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jan 25, 2009 For some reason I decided to try this, good choice. Nice orange color, looks like SN Celebration. Smells and tastes piney, caramel, a hoppy beer but might as well be an IPA. I like the idea of hoppy reds/ipa’s during the winter, warming tasty with a bit of the caramel spice. Go buy Brrr, OB Gordon, Celebration, decorate your tree!

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jan 22, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a hazy tan amber with medium off white head which dissipates rather quickly. Aroma is typical sweaty yeast with pine notes. Flavor is dominated by bitter pine and citrus, surprisingly so after a rather plain aroma. Finishes surpriingly bitter as well. I wouldn’t call this an amber, but I like the pale ale characteristics. Good stuff, will look for this next winter. GAManiac (1150), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 15, 2009 12oz bottle from Buebie poured into a pint glass.
Pours a dark, clear brownish amber with a small off-white head that dissipates to a ring with a rogue swirl of bubbles along the top. Lacing is sporadic.
The aroma has toasted malts with a hint of caramel sweetness with a surprising floral hop aroma that was almost as strong as the malts especially when it warmed a little.
The taste starts with a slightly earthy hop bitterness and gives way to the sweetness of the malt backbone. The finish is dry with some pine bitterness lingering between sips.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a fairly active carbonation profile that amplifies the bitterness some.
This is a very good amber beer with a solid hop profile that keeps things pretty interesting. Tasty. BeerandBlues2 (3203), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 14, 2009 Bottle. Pours clear amber with a small, fizzy, white head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (cookie, straw, meal), heavy hops (flowers, perfume, pine, citrus), average yeast (sweat) with notes of alcohol and rind. Medium bodied, alcoholic texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness. mybrainhurts (213), North Dakota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 12, 2009 New to my area. Citrus and pine, juicy hop aroma, almost like a liquid christmas tree. Fruity and caramel malt for flavors. Citrus, hoppy dry finish. Alcohol is well hidden. This is not an amber. More in line with Imperial red ales. I like this one.
