I have come to have a distrust of Xmas beers, but when a ccoworker mentioned it being rather hoppy I decided to give it a try. Had one and nearly downed it followed by opening another and then another. Do I need description beyond that? Not best beer ever, just darn good and session beer for those that are heading to get way sloshed. mmmbeer (746), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 26, 2008 12 oz. bottle served in shaker- poured transparent brownish tan, medium carbonation of tiny bubbles. One finger off white head formed and tried to lace. Hearty aroma of floral and citrus hops with malt in the background. Hits the mouth with a medium body, hops come in from the start like an IPA, malt is there and balanced, middle holds up, finish has a touch of sweetness intertwined with hops. Very enjoyable, might have to have 1 or 2 or 20 more today. carruthm (1125), Seattle, Washington, USA

Flavor was a little bitter with a warming nutty alcohol aftertaste. Have had from the bottle as few times before and remember it being a lot better.
